About Us
Coquina Presbyterian Church
was founded in 1985 as a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in
America (PCA). PCA was founded in 1973 to continue the theology,
worship and evangelism of historic Calvinistic and Presbyterian
Christianity in the American culture.
The PCA now numbers just over
300,000 members nationwide, in 1,227 churches which contribute over
$498 million to the work of worship, Christian education, mercy
ministries, and both local & worldwide evangelism. In the year 2001
8,258 people joined the PCA by profession of faith and adult baptism,
and 502 full-time missionaries were dispatched all over the world to
proclaim the Gospel.
Worship at Coquina is a blend
of a reverent and joyful love for God in singing, prayer, confession,
and preaching. We observe the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper on the
first Sunday of each month, and have both morning and evening worship
services on Sunday.
Our mission at Coquina
Presbyterian Church is to KNOW God our creator and redeemer, to GROW
in depth of spiritual maturity, and to SHOW our love for God by
obeying him as we love one another and others in the same way He has
sacrificially loved us in the great Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ. |

Our Vision
“Coquina Presbyterian Church is a vigorous
Reformed and Presbyterian congregation of 600 disciples of Jesus Christ
that is planting new PCA churches in North, Beachside, and Western Volusia
County and operating a PreK-8 Christian school. (Matthew 28:18-20).”
Our Mission
1. We Are Knowing God as
he has revealed himself in the Bible, in the Creation, and pre-eminently
in the Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thess. 2:13, Psalm 19, Matthew 1:22-23, John
17:1-3)
2. We Are Growing in the
love, knowledge and understanding of God (Jer. 9:24, 2Peter 3:18,
Ephesians 1:17, Col. 1:9-12, 2 Thess. 1:3)
3.
We Are Showing the
knowledge of God in dynamic & joyful worship, loving congregational
relationships & ministry, and disciple-making evangelism. (Mt. 5:16, 2Cor.
2:14, 5:20) |
